Where have you raced?
Its the off season and I'm bored...
Last night I started thinking about how many tracks we have been too since the kids started racing. I came up with 19 different tracks (not including National tracks that are just built for a weekend) in 6 different states. We have always stayed within driving distance, no flying with bikes.
How about you guys? I'm sure some of you guys have raced more tracks than you can remember.

One track. Rockstar Energy BMX in Houston... apparently it's supercross... still need to get to our other track across town to Pearland BMX where it is more racing and less defying death.

Re: Where have you raced?
Spanning to the BITD times as well, I count 12 tracks for me. Still a few in WA and possibly neighboring states I'd like to get to. But, my dislike of traveling anymore makes it unlikely that number will grow more than a couple.

You not counting Grands, low... or, counting Grands once rather than 4 different tracks or however many for each year raced?

Re: Where have you raced?
Back in the 20th century I raced at Corona-Norco YMCA, San Bernardino YMCA, Snipes Park in Norco, Coal Canyon aka SoCal BMX Country, and Lake Elsinore.
Maybe another 4 or 5 that I only raced once or so do to travel.

I wasn't counting Grands or any of the tracks they build for a weekend, just established local type tracks.
9 of my 19 are here in Texas, most out of state tracks we only raced once or twice.

Re: Where have you raced?
Kind of in a lucky position.
Quick tally is 27 tracks raced at.
None have been "built for the event".
14 of those tracks are within about 1hr 15min drive.

Re: Where have you raced?
A park in Lakewood (1st race) built for the weekend. Holi field, *Corona Downhill, *Norco Y, *snipes, *San Bernardino Y, *coal canyon, *orange Y, *DHS Desert hot springs, *Irvine, *Gnarler park, *Perris, *pipeland Upland, 2 different *Lake Elsinore track’s, *sunny mead, 4 different tracks in *riverside, *Temecula, *la Mirada, Victorville, Lancaster, 2 different Devonshire downs, *Monrovia, *Azusa, *Bullwinkles in Ontario, Barstow, 3 different *Burbank tracks, *Ascot, a couple tracks in San Diego, 2 different Bakersfield, Moran hill, Chandler, Phoenix, a couple different tracks in Las Vegas, Reno, Oklahoma City (grands),
That’s most of them.
I that’s 46 different tracks.
The ones marked with “*” are tracks with in an hour or so from Riverside.
At least 11 of those tracks were ABA and up and running at the same time period and six of those tracks were NBL. I mentioned this before. If you chased ABA District points you could race every week night and 3 times on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. I almost always did 3 on Saturday. Coal canyon, snipes, Norco Y. And 2 times Sunday, snipes, Lake Elsinore.
During the week I usually raced Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Most nights had at least 2 different tracks running.
I was building a frame and someone said “Isn’t it easier to just buy a frame that’s already built?”
I replied “Nobody builds what I want to buy.”

River Valley (TO was Gary Ellis, Sr., site of the Great Northwest Nationals back in the mid '80s after Monroe),

+1 on that. Though after reading his thread in Catchall, I think "Mattybmx" might give Papa a run for his money!
I'm matching Viich with a total of 8, 6 in Japan and 2 in the UK. Hoping to add to that in 2024.
Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2010 GT Ultrabox 2, 2011 Crupi Pro XL, prototype Quamen race frame build, 2018 Cult Pro Race plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates and pads - UGP, Knucklebone and Lizard Skins especially.

Re: Where have you raced?
hmm, looks like a missed a track or 2 (well, same club, just at its 2 different locations)
and technically they are within the distance/time too.
I should do a tally up of where a few mates and other people I ride with have been.
One has raced at alot more tracks here downunder (a few tracks now no longer exist) along with having gone to the States many moons ago
Another has raced in multiple countries (which would make that tally climb) and been to worlds.
Someone we ride with a bit has also raced all over Aus and done a few overseas trips including worlds.
Would hate to know their tallies.
